Polypore Treehouse, Kew Gardens

Working with India Aspin, we have been shortlisted for the Treehouses at Kew Competition, organised by the Museum of Architecture. Our proposal seeks to embody circular economy principles, and is predominately made from CLT and other timber. The Celebrating Play theme set by the brief is brought to life with a series of sensory play elements made from recycled materials. Our proposal is inspired by a number of fungi types and will connect the Kew Mycology Collection, a well used scientific resource, to the public in a joyful way.
